Sheriff's deputies and detectives receive annual re-training

The Sheriff's Office Annual retraining module is going on for the next couple of weeks in Marathon. It consists of training on the new driving simulator, a trial run on a new firearms simulator, refreshers in intermediate weapons, defensive tactics and CPR. It is a busy, but productive four hours that ensures all officers will be properly certified in those areas, and will accumulate enough required re-training hours as well.
Sgt. Dennis Coleman demonstrates the new Sheriff's Office
driving simulator.

Officers get a refresher in cardio pulmonary resusitation from
CPR instructor Deputy Beverly Brazil.
