The Sheriff’s Office and the Salvation Army will be registering families throughout the Keys who need help this holiday season. The two agencies work together during the holidays to provide toys to needy families.
In the Upper Keys, registration will be held Wednesday, December 7th from 3 – 5 p.m. and on Thursday, December 8th from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Roth Building at 50 Highpoint Road on Plantation Key. Registrants should bring with them proof of income, a birth certificate for each child and proof the family lives in Monroe County, which would include rental receipts, a driver’s license, a utility bill or some similar item showing a name and address.
In the Middle and Lower Keys, the Salvation Army will be taking applications from now until December 9th, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applications can be picked up at 1920 Flagler Avenue in Key West and at 2805 Overseas Highway in Marathon.

Donations of cash, or new, unwrapped toys can be made at any Sheriff’s Office building in the Florida Keys.
