A Marathon man is in jail, charged with acting lewdly toward
two young girls.
Both girls approached School Resource Sergeant Glenn Test at
school in Marathon and told him 56 year old Benjamin Aquino had, on separate
occasions, touched them inappropriately and attempted to kiss them.
One victim, who was 12 years old at the time the incident
occurred, said she was staying in the same house with him when he started
talking with her about her breasts, asking to see them. She said he approached
her and put his hand on her leg. She said he moved his hand up her leg asking
her if it made her uncomfortable.
The other victim was 14 years old when Aquino began trying
to kiss her when no one else was in the room. She said he asked to see her
bathing suit which she was wearing under her clothes and tried to take her
shirt off when she refused to show it to him.
Sgt. Test obtained warrants for Aquino’s arrest and on
Monday, he was arrested. He was charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious
behavior in the presence of minors and he was booked into jail.
