Detective asks for help in stolen boat case

A Sheriff’s detective assigned to investigate a stolen boat case is asking for the public’s assistance.

The boat’s owner lives in Virginia Beach. On July 8th, he parked the vessel, a 2008 38 foot Edgewater with twin 350 Yamaha engines, at his friend’s home at 2650 Manor Lane in Marathon. When he returned on July 23rd, he found the boat gone. He immediately called the Sheriff’s Office to report the missing vessel. The boat and all the equipment on board is valued at approximately $160,000.

Detective Nicholis Whiteman is the investigating detective on the case.
