Marathon – Detectives say they need help locating a man they believe to be responsible for setting a truck on fire in Marathon early today. A Homestead man was severely burned in the fire and is in critical condition at the Ryder Trauma Center in Miami.

52 year old Jose Gonzales suffered second and third degree burns over 61% of his body when his work truck was set on fire. The truck was parked near the Dog House bar on 107th Street in Marathon when the fire occurred at 3:45 a.m. today.
