Stock Island man arrested for cocaine

A Stock Island man was arrested and charged with possessing a large amount of cocaine after a search warrant was served at his home Thursday afternoon.

Detectives served the warrant at 3:30 p.m. at F3 Cross Street, at the rear apartment. They found 51 year old Renan Viart Sotolongo at home. Inside, the search turned up 141 grams of cocaine in various locations. They also found $8,021 in cash. Sotolongo was arrested and charged with trafficking in cocaine.

Working together on the service of the search warrant were Sheriff's Office / Monroe HIDTA,Key West HIDTA/Special Investigations, agents from Homeland Security Investigations, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
