On October 4th, a man from Key Largo reported his 17 foot Action Craft flats boat and trailer stolen from the parking lot of the Key West Inn resort in Key Largo. The victim lives on a sailboat in that area and last saw his boat the night before. Total value of the vessel was estimated to be $14,400. The boat was recovered at 17175 SW 232nd Street in Miami on October 5th by Miami Dade Police. It was stripped, but the trailer was recovered in fair condition.

On October 20th, deputies took a report of an 18 foot 2003 Vtec flats boat stolen from a home on Camelot Drive in Tavernier. The yellow and white vessel was on a 21 foot Rocket Trailer and the owner said he last saw it parked at his home in late September.

On October 28th, deputies responded to Islamarine Boats in Islamorada to a report of a stolen boat and trailer. The 24 foot 2013 Pathfinder Maverick was stolen sometime between October 24th and the 28th from a fenced storage lot. Someone used bolt cutters to cut a chain used to secure the gate. The boat, valued at approximately $15,000, was light green with a white bottom. It had a 300 horsepower Yamaha outboard engine and over $6,000 worth of electronics as well as fishing equipment on board. It was on a 2008 Amera Trail trailer. The boat has not yet been recovered.

Today, deputies responded to a report of a vessel theft in Marathon. The victim said he was in the process of selling his 34 foot 2004 Sea-Vee boat with two 250 horse power Suzuki engines on it. He said it was parked, on a trailer, in the parking lot of Arctic-Temp in Marathon at 9699 Overseas Highway. He said it was there Monday evening when he left for the day and was missing when he arrived at work this morning. The vessel is light green in color and has the name “Out-of-Range” on the side of it. The vessel is reportedly valued at $145,000. It was on a 2014 All American Trailer.
