This past weekend, this dog was hit by a car in the Marathon area. Sheriff's Office Dispatcher Liz Steele saw the dog get hit and saw that no one was stopping. Fearing he would be hit again, she stopped to help. Animal control officers responded and took the dog to the veterinarian for treatment of injuries to a rear leg. Without her help, the dog might have been hit again and more seriously injured. Kudos to Liz for her quick action!!! In the picture, Sgt. Marc Maison and an employee of SHARK with the injured dog.
