A 28-year-old Miami man was arrested Monday following a traffic
stop after more than three pounds of marijuana was found in the vehicle.
Peter James Stansky was charged with possession of
marijuana, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of synthetic
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Stansky was stopped while driving a pickup truck with no
working tag lights on U.S. 1 near Mile Marker 8 at approximately 7:35 p.m. He
was also found to have no valid driver’s license.
A strong odor of marijuana was emitting from the vehicle. A search
turned up approximately 3.2 pounds of marijuana in more than 20 separately
wrapped bags as well as multiple pipes and a vape pen.
Stansky was taken to jail.
