A
58-year-old Sugarloaf Key man found disoriented in a parked car on U.S. 1 was
arrested Friday for DUI after it was discovered he had a blood alcohol content
of .434.
The
legal limit in Florida is .08.

Roland Parker was found by U.S. Navy personnel in the left, northbound lane in
a parked Ford Mustang at approximately 1:13 a.m.
The
Sheriff’s Office responded and found Parker unable to stand on his own or speak
clearly. He was confused as to where he was and what time it was. He had watery,
bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol.
He was
taken to Lower Keys Medical Center due to the level of alcohol in his system
and was later booked into jail.
