Funeral set for Deputy Winifred Higgins


Monroe County Sheriff’s Deputy Winifred Higgins lost his long battle with cancer over the weekend.
Deputy Higgins worked for the Sheriff’s Office as a road patrol deputy for the last 12 years, most of that time in Islamorada.


The services for Deputy Higgins have been arranged at Palms Woodlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery, 27100 Old Dixie Hwy, Homestead, FL 33032-7321. 
The viewing will be on Tuesday March 13,2012  from 5:00 pm to 10:pm
His Funeral and Burial Service will be held on Wednesday March 14, at 11:00 a.m.

    We are saddened by the news of Deputy Higgin's death and pray that his family is strong and supported by many loving friends and neighbors during this difficult time. He was a true hero.
