A Marathon man was arrested for burglary and battery on his
ex-girlfriend.
Deputies responded to the victim’s residence on 41st
Street several times during the course of the early morning hours today before
arresting 40 year old Quentin Williams on 42nd Street in Marathon.
The first time, just before 2 a.m., she called to report Williams had
threatened to throw a rock through her window. She said they broke up in April,
but she had been hanging out with him when he began to “act crazy” and threaten
her. When deputies arrived, he had fled the scene.
She called deputies back to her residence at 2:30 a.m. after
she said Williams had broken her front door to get inside and had hit her in
the face. She said she called the Sheriff’s Office again and he left the scene.
Deputies who responded said her front door was splintered where Williams had
forced his way inside. They looked for Williams in several locations where he
was known to frequent, but could not find him.
They were called back to the 41st Street
residence at 4:30 a.m. after the victim’s son thought he saw Williams outside.
Responding deputies found him a block away, on 42nd Street. Williams
was taken into custody, charged with burglary, battery and criminal mischief and
he was booked into jail.
