As required by Florida law, the Sheriff’s Office is making a
public notification of a sexual predator now living in Monroe County.
45 year old Michael Wayne West has registered a local
address at 5511 5th Avenue on Stock Island.
West was convicted of lewd and lascivious acts on a child
under 16 in both 1988 and in 2009; he was convicted of sexual battery by an
adult on a victim under 12 years of age in 1997. All of these crimes occurred
in Volusia County, Florida.
