Update on Marathon wallet theft case:
A woman who stole a wallet from a marina bathhouse in Marathon two
weeks ago was arrested Thursday.
Lucinda Dennison was identified by Sgt. Nicholas Whiteman from
surveillance video obtained from stores where she used two credit cards from the
stolen wallet. Sgt. Whiteman spotted her at the Fairway Market in Marathon
and recognized her from video and still photos he’d seen. Detective Leon
Bourcier, the lead detective on the case, obtained a warrant for her arrest.
She was arrested Thursday and charged with six counts of fraudulent
use of a credit card – she used the cards at the Tom Thumb, Walgreens two
times, Marathon Liquors and Deli and Bealls twice. All the locations she used
the card were in the Marathon area. She was also charged with five counts of
theft.
Dennison was booked into jail.
