A 46-year-old Opa-locka, Florida man was cited Wednesday
night for undersized and over-the-limit Mangrove Snappers.
Terrance Deon Streeter was given a mandatory appearance for
court citation for possessing six undersized Mangrove Snappers and possession
of one over-the-limit Mangrove Snapper.
Upper Keys Deputy Ana Coello spoke with Streeter about 7
p.m. as he was fishing on the 79000 block of the Overseas Highway in
Islamorada.
Streeter produced a valid fishing license.
There were six Mangrove Snappers in Streeter’s bucket. All
six were under the legal size of 10 inches. The smallest fish measured 7.5
inches and the largest measured just under 8 inches.
The legal limit for Mangrove Snapper is five per harvester.
The fish were returned to the water dead.
