A 58-year-old Big Pine Key man was arrested Friday afternoon
after pointing a handgun at a man on Cudjoe Key.
Krysztof Damian Duszka was charged with aggravated battery
with a deadly weapon.
There were no injuries reported.
Deputy Donald Stullken responded to 125 Colson Drive on
Cudjoe Key at 3:48 p.m. regarding threats with a firearm call. He met with a
man and a woman who were working on the property at 125 Colson Drive. They
stated a man, later identified as Duszka, was taking pictures of them from over
a fence. They asked him to cease and Duszka did not. The 40-year-old Key West
man stated he walked up to the fence to further confront Duszka when Duszka
pointed a handgun at him.
Deputy Stullken then found Duszka standing in the driveway
of an adjacent house. Deputy Stullken asked Duszka if he had a weapon. Duszka
answered in the affirmative. Deputy Stullken removed and secured the loaded
.25-caliber Taurus® pistol. Duszka stated he was documenting the work being
done at the property. Duszka admitted to pointing the gun at the other man when
the other man approached the fence.
Duszka was taken to jail.
