A 44-year-old Homestead, Florida motorist was arrested Wednesday after failing to follow commands during a traffic stop.
Patrick Tyshawn Fairclough was charged with resisting arrest. He was also cited for making an illegal U-turn.
Fairclough was stopped at approximately 6 a.m. after he was observed making an illegal U-turn in a Dodge Charger near Mile Marker 112 on U.S. 1.
Fairclough pulled into a gas station parking lot during the traffic stop, whereupon he refused to provide insurance, registration, or a driver's license. He was argumentative and initially claimed he was not in possession of any firearms.
Fairclough tensed his body and pulled away as he was being detained. A loaded .38-caliber handgun was found in his pocket and a loaded .40-caliber handgun was found in the vehicle’s glove box. Fairclough was taken to jail.
