Teenager arrested in threats case

A minor Little Torch Key resident was arrested Monday for sending threats to kill or do bodily harm.

 

Aiden Davis Hunter, 14, and several other juveniles, including the victim, were involved in a verbal altercation Sunday on Cudjoe Key.

 

The altercation was not physical, however, Hunter later sent the victim texts stating the victim was going to get shot and killed. He further indicated that he was going to harm the victim the following day and did not care if it was in the classroom.

 

“In this day and age we have to take this type of threat seriously, particularly when it involves the safety of our schools” said Sheriff Rick Ramsay.

 

Hunter was charged with sending written threats to kill or do bodily injury, a second-degree felony.
