Another Craigslist scam reported

A Key Largo couple lost $5,500 in a Craigslist property rental scam that was reported on Thursday.

The woman stated she rented a property at 195 Azalea Street in Plantation Key with her boyfriend on Dec. 23. She stated they found the property on Craigslist for $1,850. They contacted a person named “Antonio Fattorusso,” who stated he needed that payment plus a security deposit totaling $3,700. The money was sent. “Antonio” stated he would send them the keys in the mail. The keys never arrived. “Antonio” then stated he needed another $1,850 so he could send them the keys. Another $1,850 was wired to “Antonio” and that was the last the couple heard from him.

The case remains open.
