Man arrested on drug charges

A 49-year-old Key West man was arrested Tuesday afternoon after Sheriff’s Office Detectives found a large amount of cocaine and more than $14,000 cash in suspected drug proceeds at his apartment.

Oren Eshel was charged with two counts of cocaine sales.

Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Detectives served two warrants at an apartment on the 1200 block of 3^rd Street in Key West following a drug investigation, which began last year.

Eshel was taken into custody without incident.

A search of the apartment ensued and a total of 11.5 ounces of cocaine and $14,471 in cash.

Eshel was taken in jail.

Detectives are still investigating and more charges could be pending.
